meet anita

Anita is a Specialist Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist (FACP), awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2022. Specialist recognition represents the highest clinical qualification within the physiotherapy profession in Australia. Anita is one of only five practising physiotherapists in Melbourne to hold this qualification in this field.

She holds both a Bachelor and Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne, with advanced training in Women’s Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Anita has also completed additional postgraduate education in clinical Pilates, dry needling, and sports physiotherapy.

Anita is committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate and comprehensive care. Her approach integrates detailed assessment, manual therapy and targeted exercise prescription to support meaningful and sustainable outcomes.

She has a particular interest in the management of complex pelvic floor conditions affecting women, men and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including incontinence, pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse. Anita also works with children and their families in the management of paediatric continence and constipation concerns.

In addition to clinical practice, Anita is actively involved in education and professional leadership. She teaches postgraduate physiotherapists and medical practitioners at the University of Melbourne and has contributed to the development of the Master of Sports Medicine program. Anita currently serves as Vice Chair of the National Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Committee of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and has contributed to national scientific committees within the APA.

Outside of clinical practice, Anita enjoys dancing and spending time with her family. She is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
